AGRANA achieves higher consolidated EBIT in 2017|18; weaker outlook for 2018|19

Vienna – The Management Board of AGRANA Beteiligungs-AG has today decided to propose a dividend payout in the amount of EUR 4.50 per share for the 2017|18 financial year (dividend for 2016|17: EUR 4.00 per share) to the 31st Annual General Meeting to be held on 6 July 2018.

The Management Board justifies the increase on grounds of the positive development of business in 2017|18. In its 2017|18 financial year (1 March 2017 to 28 February 2018), AGRANA achieved an operating result (EBIT) of EUR 190.6 million, significantly higher as forecast than that of the prior year (2016|17:
EUR 172.4 million). Group revenue of EUR 2,566.3 million remained comparable with the prior period (2016|17: EUR 2,561.3 million).

On grounds of the challenges currently facing the Sugar segment, a significant decline in terms of EBIT is forecast for the ongoing 2018|19 financial year, in line with current market expectations.

The publication of the Annual Report 2017|18, in addition to all of the details relating to the annual results for 2017|18 and the outlook for 2018|19, will take place as scheduled on 8 May 2018.
